Illustrated Imagination

My illustrations are ready to take flight and land upon a new venue.
Imaginative and sweet, my musings drip of sugar and bits of spice!

Today held a wealth of creative brainstorms. My children are even beginning to show signs of the "extreme Need to Create" gene!
I love that God put different kinds of "smarts" into each one of us, to be used for His glory. If only we would stop and look at the big picture perhaps we wouldn't grow so frustrated with each other. Different "smarts" mean vastly different ways to express, learn, talk, and think.  Praise God we are not all the same! Such wonderful Creativeness that fills the earth!
 

I am working on my homeschool schedule that can only be termed a "schedule" in the loosest sense of the word! I like some structure, but honestly for the most part I am all about creating a "learning environment", which for me means I use everyday activities and nature to teach school. My children often think we're just playing games or just "cooking" or "sewing" when in reality they're learning a boatload of "good stuff"! I do love teaching my children and thank God for the chance to do so.

Sewing my baby headbands is such fun that I've created dozens of designs in tons of fun colors!

Late night creativity

 Last weekend my little brother got married to his sweetheart!
 I stayed up all night on a whim to create tiny sweaters (salvaged from larger ones) to be worn over my daughter's flower girl dresses, as the weather turned FREEZING!!!
Just as I finished I got this crazy idea that vintage pearl earrings and necklaces would complete the outfit perfectly! What was I thinking?! But if you know me at all, you know that when I get a creative idea Create it I must!!!!  Anyway the outfits turned out darling and the girls were thrilled!
- I also did the wedding photography and as always thoroughly enjoyed the art of chronicling a love story through photos (photos will be posted soon).

Creating

Creating and woolgathering (daydreaming) are favorite past times of mine . Something fun and artistic always comes from diving into our God given imaginations!
